Yuuken “Yuu” Enma, an ordinary high schooler preparing for a kendo tournament, is suddenly hit by a mysterious black carriage and wakes up at Night Raven College—a magical academy in the world of Twisted Wonderland. As a non-magical human, his presence there is a mystery.
While the headmaster searches for a way to send him home, Yuu is put to work around campus and quickly draws the ire of Riddle Rosehearts, the strict leader of Heartslabyul dorm. After befriending freshmen Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade, Yuu joins them on a dangerous quest to make amends after the duo’s mischief leads to their expulsion—only to discover that Riddle’s harshness may hide deeper motives.
